My Photographic Services
I have been a professional photographer since 1995 when I retired from a career in Aviation. My specialities are People and Places; within this broad scope I accept assignments for wedding photography, location portraiture, landscape and commercial.
I regard my photography as a vital service that assists in forming the basis of our social history. I take pride, and get great satisfaction and joy, in performing this role.
My objective is to produce photographs that have great appeal and I strive to ensure that this is evident in every picture I take. I regard it as an emotional means of communication between the photographer and the viewer.
Wedding Photography
Wedding photography is an excellent example of how important it is to ensure that there is an appropriate emotional theme running through the images taken. Usually, weddings are highly charged with emotion, humour and family group dynamics. My objective is to include these to the benefit of the overall quality of the finished album. To achieve this, it is essential that the photographer works closely with the Bride and Groom to build a relationship that promotes excellent photographic work. Wedding photography is about capturing those magical moments in time.
Informal Portraiture
The photographer's role is to show the character and personality of the person who is "sitting" in an appropriate setting. Whether or not artificial or natural light is used, the essence is on capturing the moment that makes the image special.
Landscape Photography
Landscape photography is a permanent artistic record of the places with which we have an emotional involvement. It is about using the camera to communicate the beauty that we all experience when we see and feel that which is around us.
